About Inner Drummer Movement

Northfield Community Acupuncture & Qigong (NCAQ) helps get people started on a path of mindbody education. I’ll say more about mindbody education in a future iteration of this website, but for now I’m offering acupuncture to help people feel more pain-free and ready to enjoy their day to day lives. On top of that I encourage everyone who’s not in pain to begin a qigong movement practice as a stepping stone to building greater skill and effectiveness not only in using your body but in expanding your sense of self to be much more open, relaxed, and expansive.

Community Acupuncture

NCAQ offers quality, affordable community acupuncture treatments for anyone in need of relief from pain, stress, anxiety, or trauma. I’ve found frequency of treatment beats cleverness every time when it comes to getting the results you want with acupuncture. I offer a sliding scale per treatment to help ensure you get all the acupuncture you need at a price you can afford. All treatments happen in a socially distanced group setting while relaxing fully clothed in a recliner. Most people rest or nap peacefully including those who show up thinking it’s not possible to sleep or relax anymore!

Qigong Movement- Flow Classes

If you have anxiety that’s persistent, chronic pain and inflammation to manage, or a desire to proactively boost your wellness join a Flow class. The Good News?— Flow classes don’t ask you to learn or remember anything! Just follow along in whatever way you choose— over time you’ll naturally find yourself moving in a deeper state of flow in and out of class. I offer both standing and seated versions of these classes that provide a moving meditation experience built around tai chi and qigong movements that are sometimes fused with variations on yoga asanas— while I could go on and on about the details of these forms, I’ve found it much more effective and enjoyable to simply relax and start moving together!

Qigong Movement- Private Coaching Sessions (aka Embodiment Coaching)

This is for you if you struggle with anxiety and stress. I’ll help you make new distinctions so you can find where you need to change inner actions you may not realize you are even doing. You might find the skills you need to let go of old action patterns in your body that you never realized are keeping you stuck!

I’m not confident or unconfident as much as I may or may not be doing confidence in the moment. This may sound strange to read but when experimented with through movement provides a choice for getting fully present in your body so you can move with an effectiveness that can’t be found in thought alone.
